Heading Structure
Understanding the heading structure for SJSU will assist you in developing and formatting pages. Currently, we utilize 6 different types of headings that are referred to as: <h1>, <h2>, <h3>, <h4>, <h5>, and <h6>. The headings are ordered from largest <h1> to smallest <h6>.
Grouping content using headings is an effective way to provide structure to your page. We can accomplish this by developing a hierarchy of importance for our content.
If there are multiple categories that share the same level of importance, then the headings of the content will be set at the same size. However, if they differ in importance, then the heading sizes will be following descending order.
