The Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence degree provides an advanced set of foundational skills preparing students to work in a field with applications across industries. The program's industry-led curriculum has a broad focus and covers the principles and technologies that underlie Artificial Intelligence (AI), including logic, regression, and machine learning (ML).

The number of industries that are implementing AI grew 270 percent in the past four years and tripled in the past year, according to the Gartner, Inc. 2019 CIO Survey. Many large corporations and startups in the Bay Area are rapidly looking to fill these positions, presenting graduates with many career options. Self-driving cars, robotic assistants, automated disease diagnosis, and Google search algorithms are just some of the many applications of AI.

Applicants are required to meet the following:

    • Undergraduate degree in math, physics, computer science, engineering, or a closely related field, equivalent to a four-year U.S. undergraduate baccalaureate degree, with demonstrated college-level courses in programming, data structures, algorithm design, three-semester sequence of calculus, linear algebra and statistics.
    • Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher.
