Updates to Compliance Course in CSULearn - December 18, 2023

The CSU will be making updates to the CSULearn compliance course below:
  • Injury Illness Prevention Program (IIPP)
The update will reset the course to start over from the beginning so that the progress on any uncompleted course will be lost. It is critical that you check to see if your course is currently in-progress.

If you are in-progress with this course, please complete it prior to Monday, December 18, 2023. If this assigned course has been completed or has not been started, there is no action required.

To confirm the completion status of any course follow these steps:

1. Log in to CSULearn
2. Click Assigned Learning
  • If the course is listed and shows VIEW DETAILS, it means you started the course and it is in progress.
  • Click the VIEW DETAILS button to continue with the course and complete it by the required due date.

Introduction to Tuition Fee Waiver at SJSU

The Fee Waiver program for staff and faculty allows employees to take classes at SJSU or another CSU campus at a reduced cost. The employee may take courses to improve current job skills (job related) or to pursue a degree (career development). The fee waiver benefit may also be transferred to an employee's eligible dependent, enabling the dependent to pursue a degree. This course explains the various types of fee waivers, how to apply for the program and deadlines.

Please register to attend the session below:
If you have any questions about the course content or have difficulty enrolling, please contact our Fee Waiver team at fee-waiver@sjsu.edu. A Zoom link will be sent the day before the session.

Our Commitment, Our Responsibility: Together For A Safe, Inclusive and Ethical Campus

Our commitment to maintaining a safe, ethical and inclusive campus environment is unwavering. We believe that a safe, inclusive and ethical campus is not only a responsibility; it's a collective effort that requires all of us to work together.

As employees, each of us play a vital role in shaping the future of our campus, and that starts with staying informed and up-to-date on our mandatory compliance training. Log in to CSULearn TODAY!

Remember, "Our Commitment, Our Responsibility, Together for a Safe, Ethical Campus" isn't just a tagline; it's a call to action. When you receive notice that a required training is due, it's essential to make the time to complete it before the deadline. Failure to complete these mandatory trainings not only jeopardizes the safety and ethical standing of our campus but may also have consequences for your professional standing.

We understand that finding a quiet place to complete your training can sometimes be a challenge. If you're facing difficulties finding a quiet place or time, please don't hesitate to contact us at up-training@sjsu.edu. We are here to help and can arrange for you to join one of our open labs.

Our 2023 lab schedule:
Tuesday, December 12 - 9:30am - 11:30am
Friday, December 15 - 2:00pm - 4:00pm

If you encounter issues logging in to your CSULearn compliance training course(s), send us an email at csulearn@sjsu.edu for assistance. We’re more than happy to help.

Thank you for your commitment to a safe, inclusive and ethical campus.

CSU Cross-Campus Collaboration Professional Development Opportunities

Many training classes across the CSU that were previously offered only in person are now offered virtually and open to other campuses. This gives SJSU employees a much larger selection of professional development opportunities to choose from, and allows more collaboration from campus-to-campus. We are excited to be part of this unique opportunity and look forward to learning from our fellow CSUs!

Visit Cross-Campus Collaboration (SJSUOne login required) to learn more about course offerings and registration instructions.

Happy Learning!
