No. A new form will be posted soon for these types of appointments.

- Do I have to submit an employee profile for a volunteer?
- No, only the Volunteer Form.
- How much lead time is needed to process a volunteer with the new form?
- Please get your form to University Personnel at least 5 days prior to your expected start date.
- When you extend or reappoint a volunteer do they have to submit the documents again?
- Yes, at this time. We will review and revisit this process as people start to use the new form.
Background Checks for Volunteers
- Do all volunteers require a background check?

No, only those performing work that falls under the CSU Background Check Policy.

- How long do background checks/fingerprinting stay in effect?

One year. If a person had a background check or LiveScan on the SJSU campus within the last 12 months, they do not need a new check.
