Global Connections: Compassion to You

This in-person session will focus on learning about the elements of self-compassion and thinking about how we can kind to ourselves in ways that fit our cultural background and who we are. While it may be easy to think that we should be kind to ourselves, this is easier said than done.

In Full Bloom: Bouquets and Letters

This event at San José State University provides students with a much-needed break during finals week by allowing them to engage in the calming and creative activity of getting flower bouquets. Additionally, Students have the opportunity to write letters to themselves as a powerful means of self-affirmation and self-encouragement, especially during stressful periods like finals, to bolster their self-esteem and motivation.

Illumination Showcase

Stop by the Library Illumination Showcase to boost your readiness for final exams by making use of the diverse resources provided by SCS, Tech training center and Klver lab. Resources include but not limited to laptops, calculators, free poster printing and assistance with Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office, and Qualtrics. While here, why not participate in one of our stress relief activities!

Writing Center Finals Open Lab

Do you need last-minute writing advice and support during finals? If so, the Writing Center will have an online Open Lab on Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 10 AM to 2 PM. SJSU students who would like to get help from one of our trained writing tutors can join the Zoom link at any time and will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis for up to 20 minutes.
Our tutors support all types of writing, including research papers, literature reviews, essays, etc. We also help with the different stages of writing, such as drafting and revising.
