CFETI

Center for Faculty Excellence and Teaching Innovation

The Center for Faculty Excellence and Teaching Innovation (CFETI) provides faculty with resources and support to enhance teaching and learning at SJSU. Through workshops, consultations and innovative tools, CFETI helps educators integrate emerging technologies, including AI, into their pedagogy. The center fosters collaboration and professional development, ensuring faculty have the skills and knowledge to create engaging, inclusive learning experiences.

AI Faculty Fellows

During Summer 2026, CFETI invited faculty from across the university to participate in the AI Summer Institute, where they developed and shared projects and research focused on people-centered AI. The AI Faculty Fellows presented their work at a showcase held at the beginning of the Fall 2026 semester at the AI Center for Civic and Social Good.

AdoptAI Champions

In Spring 2026, Information Technology launched the SJSU AdoptAI Champions Cohort Program, bringing together staff members and MPPs who help advance AI fluency and practical adoption across SJSU. These AI Champions support colleagues in turning AI knowledge into action, applying AI to everyday workflows, connecting with helpful resources, and modeling effective, responsible, and ethical AI use across campus.
