Asian & Pacific Islander Heritage Month
Asian & Pacific Islander (API) Heritage Month is an annual month-long celebration
of Asian and Pacific Islanders in the United States. Nationally, this month is celebrated
in May, but at SJSU, we celebrate jointly with Southwest Asian and North African (SWANA)
Heritage Month. Throughout the month, CAPISE and other campus partners will host programs
and events highlighting and uplifting the stories, histories, and experiences of Asian
and Pacific Islanders. Our theme for 2025 is "Legacy & Voice".
