Corporate Philanthropy
Securing resources from corporations or foundations requires teamwork. There are campus
policies and procedures that guide corporate gifts, philanthropic grant submissions,
event sponsorships, and in-kind donations. We are here to help you navigate all relevant
processes so that your research or project funds can be accepted and spent as planned.
Our Services
We can help you identify and approach potential funders, secure funding or support
for various projects and events, plan and coordinate solicitations, obtain necessary
signatures and paperwork, and more.
Gifts and Grants
Corporate and private foundation gifts and grants provide crucial funding support for research, scholarship, and creative activity (RSCA), as well as campus programs and events.
Before reaching out to a corporation or foundation about a grant or a sponsorship,
you must fill out this form and a team member will contact you.
Gifts-In-Kind
Many industry partners see the value of donating equipment to train SJSU students and advance scholarly activity. They may provide new or even used in-kind donations which may be past their industrial usefulness but still provide academic value. An in-kind donation can be a valuable addition to a laboratory, classroom, or student organization.
If you are considering or have secured the promise of, or the potential promise of,
an in-kind donation, please submit this form so that we can assist you in navigating the campus process for accepting the donation.
Sponsorships
Corporate sponsorships provide not only funding but an opportunity to showcase visible
support for a particular group, field, or social issue. We can help strategize your
outreach in consideration of other university efforts which may be in process and
ensure funds can be accepted and used for their intended purpose. In some cases, we
may be able to connect you to potential funding sources.
Please submit this form before reaching out to a corporation or foundation about a gift or grant, a sponsorship,
or a donation for a faculty or student-organized event or activity and a team member
will contact you.
