Early Start Program Overview and Important Dates
The CSU Early Start Program gives students an opportunity to sharpen their mathematics and writing skills in the summer before the start of their freshman year. Early Start mathematics classes also give students an opportunity to complete their mathematics/quantitative reasoning requirement (Area B4) in the summer before their freshman year. This year, admitted students are notified in late April if Early Start classes are recommended.

Students will also have the opportunity to complete a series of online asynchronous modules that provide writing support, student success skills (time management and self-study), and an exploration of campus resources (student organizations, the fitness center, and the health and wellness center).
