Resources to Help Spartans Vote

SJSU encourages its campus community members to exercise their right to vote. Various departments at SJSU provide resources to ensure voters can make informed decisions. You can find information about how to register and where to vote here.

Key Election Dates

  • September 20, 2022: National Voter Registration day.
  • October 24, 2022: Last day to register to vote online or by mail ahead of the November 8 General Election.
  • October 25 - November 8, 2022: Same Day Voter Registration is available and voters can "conditionally" register and vote at a county election office or polling location after the voter registration deadline, up to and including Election Day.
  • October 29, 2022 - November 7, 2022: Early voting on campus
  • November 8, 2022: Election Day.

SJSU political science students and faculty, under the direction of the Institute for Public Affairs and Civic Engagement (IPACE), facilitates campus-wide efforts to mobilize the Spartan community to register and to turn out to vote.
