EDTE 282
Assessment of and for student learning is an art and a science. This pre-service course syllabus focuses on research-based assessment and evaluation strategies in the K-12 classroom that make student learning visible. Experts in assessment are guided by “Big Ideas” that allow them to focus on engaging students in classroom assessment practices in principled ways. This course offers a glimpse of how the classroom teacher can acquire skills with seven “FA Moves” that allow for sophisticated and nuanced ways of assessing student learning, particularly in on-line, blended, and face to face teaching environments.
