Student Research Assistance Award

Awards from the Circle of Friends may be given for meritorious research proposals. Undergraduate students can apply for a maximum of $1000. Spartan Accelerated Graduate Education (SAGE) and graduate students can apply for a maximum of $2500.

If a previous award has not been given, then a maximum of $1500 is available for a presentation at a sponsoring professional organization. Documentation of acceptance is required. Acceptance documentation must be submitted while the student is officially enrolled. Also, official enrollment is required by the University in order for a student to be eligible to receive any monetary award.

Awards are based on the merit of the application, including the expenses listed on the line budget.

Application submission is on a rolling basis during the academic semesters, so students can turn in their proposal whenever they begin their research project. However, applications must be submitted at least six weeks
before the end of the semester. Note: Please do not submit your Graduate Student Research Assistance Award application during the summer and winter breaks.
