Historically, PEC parents take an active role in their children's education by increasing their involvement, their advocacy skills, and their knowledge of the college-going process.

 

The Parent Empowerment Council plans and sponsors family and community activities to raise funds for Pre-College Program scholarships, serves as a parent advisory body to the program, and assists with communications to the program parents.

 

Past Activities:

• Dinner/dance for parents and community
• Fundraising activities for scholarships
• Family and cultural events (including Family Halloween Party, holiday celebrations, etc.)
