Academic Affairs Leadership Discovery Group (AALDG)

The AALDG was started in 2013-14 to allow faculty and staff to explore various aspects of leadership discovery, including definitions, models, characteristics and challenges to consider for identifying and enhancing professional development, skills and opportunities. Please join us if you are considering a future position with increased leadership responsibilities or are exploring different aspects of leadership. The program is also a wonderful opportunity to interact with colleagues who share similar goals and interests as well as network with those outside your department or division.

The purpose of AALDG is to provide an opportunity for faculty and staff in the Academic Affairs Division to explore their interest in leadership and to prepare for possible leadership positions in academia or a related area. Participants will have opportunities to learn from university administrators, others in leadership positions, each other, and through readings and discussions. This activity will also improve personal, professional and leadership skills used in work and in personal arenas. Participants will develop a plan of action to help in reaching their leadership goals.
