SJSU's SpartUp: SVCE — Powering the Spartan Entrepreneurship Ecosystem

Spartans come from extraordinary diversity of backgrounds, ideas, and lived experiences, yet access to the networks, capital, systems, and mentorship that fuel entrepreneurship is often uneven. SJSU's SpartUp: Silicon Valley Center for Entrepreneurship exists to change that.

SpartUp: SVCE is a high-impact, experiential entrepreneurship ecosystem where Spartan innovators learn by building. Through hands-on programs, industry connections, and real-world problem solving, students, alumni, and researchers develop the skills, confidence, and networks needed to turn ideas into action.

Whether launching startups, leading innovation inside organizations, or commercializing research, SpartUp: SVCE equips Spartans to move from aspiration to execution—transforming ideas into impact.

What We Do

SpartUp: Silicon Valley Center for Entrepreneurship builds entrepreneurs where innovation actually happens.

As the only CSU located in the heart of Silicon Valley, SpartUp: SVCE leverages unparalleled proximity to founders, investors, technologists, and industry leaders to deliver entrepreneurship as a real-world practice—not a classroom exercise.

We serve as a high-energy hub for collaborative, interdisciplinary experimentation, connecting students, faculty, and staff across disciplines to industry, capital, and community. Through hands-on programs, partnerships, and experiential learning, SpartUp empowers the Spartan community to transform ideas into ventures, research into impact, and talent into leadership.
