2025-2026 SJSU Title IV-E Application
Statement of Intent
A 2-3 page statement which addresses and answers the following questions:
- Explain your understanding of public child welfare services.
- What do you see as the most significant challenges facing children and families within the child welfare system today?
- What specific aspect(s) of child welfare are you most passionate about or interested in?
- How does the Title IV-E Child Welfare Stipend Program relate to your short and long term career goals?
Resume
- A 1-2 page resume, including a list of relevant paid and volunteer experience.
Please note applicants applying to the 3 Year Evening Only or 2 Year Online/ Hybrid Title IV-E programs must be a current full-time employee of a county social services agency.
Selection Process
Awards committee members will review applications. Priority is given to current county and state Department of Social Services employees and applicants who reflect the diverse client populations currently served by child welfare agencies in California. Qualified applicants who are admitted to the SJSU MSW Program will be invited for a panel awards interview in the spring/ summer.
