Our college is the heart and soul of the university. We offer high-quality, hands-on programs that prepare students to be lifelong learners and skilled critical thinkers. Across the numerous disciplines that comprise our diverse college, our faculty members bring extensive knowledge, experience and enthusiasm to the classroom.
We are proud of recent accomplishments our commitment to excellence has enabled. We have:
- Expanded our Pandemic Pandemonium programming series, which included art, writing, and performing arts productions under the theme of finding meaning in the chaos of the pandemic.
- Created H&A in San Jose programming series as a way to foster collaboration between San José State and the rich environment of humanities and arts partners in the surrounding community.
I am deeply grateful to loyal supporters who have helped enable our successes. We
have many dreams to support our students and programs, including:
- Expand our H&A In Action public programming, bringing students' classroom work alive.
- Raise $100,000 in matching funds to support the Digital Humanities Center, funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities.
In the College of Humanities and the Arts, we are powering creativity in Silicon Valley.
