General Requirements

  • A 4-year bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

  • A GPA of at least 3.0 at the bachelor’s degree institution or in the last 60 semester or 90 quarter units.

  • Official transcripts from all colleges or universities attended.

  • A general understanding of computers and technology. See Technology Literacy Requirements. Access to a computer with an internet connection.

An English language proficiency test (TOEFL, IELTS or PTE) is required if a student's baccalaureate was earned outside of the US. For more information, visit the graduate admissions site. TOEFL 80 or IELTS 6.5 or DET 120 (international).

Graduation Requirement

  • Complete 9 units.

  • A cumulative grade point average of 3.0 to graduate.

  • Complete a digital portfolio. 

  • Application opens July 1; deadline of December 1 for Spring admission.

  • Application opens August 1; deadline of May 1 for Fall admission.
