How to Apply

 

General Requirements

  • A degree equivalent to a four-year U.S. baccalaureate degree in the related field of engineering or other related fields.

  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.

Program-Specific Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in math, physics, computer science, engineering or a closely related field, equivalent to a four-year U.S. undergraduate baccalaureate degree.

  • Required college-level courses in programming, differential equation, three sequenced calculus-based physics courses (or two sequenced plus thermodynamics) and fundamental circuit knowledge.

  • Preferred course work in statistics, thermodynamics and Python.

Out-of-State Eligibility

  • Application opens August 1; deadline of June 1 for Fall admission.

  • Apply through Cal State Apply and submit the required documents.

  • MS in Engineering (Special Session) will be the designation for the MS in Engineering - Advanced Energy Systems degree.
