Computers and the Internet Classes

People leaving custody often need computer skills to find and get a job.

The focus of these classes is on the basics of using computers. RCP staff teach the class, assisted by student interns who provide one-on-one assistance. The eight-hour classes help people develop resumes and cover letters, and search for and apply to jobs online. They learn to use MyConnectSV to stay in contact with their case managers and service team.

Students learn how to recognize scams (email, text, or call scams). They also learn how to get identification documents, drivers’ licenses, apply to college, and financial aid.

*More classes and information coming soon!

It is rewarding to see how our assistance can make such a positive impact on someone’s life. It is a pleasure to know that the students enjoy the class as much as we do.
