Spartan Scoop: Sammy Spartan at Christmas in the Park

Following Thanksgiving, Christmas in the Park opens in downtown San José in the Plaza de César Chávez. This beloved annual tradition brings together the community in a festive, outdoors exhibition of entertainment and decor, free to attend and open to all from 6 to 10 p.m. every day until January 1, 2026. This Fri., Nov. 28, join President Cynthia Teniente-Matson, dignitaries, families and Sammy Spartan to kick off the holiday season with a tree lighting. Sammy will also be at the park on Sat., Nov. 29. SJSU Night will be Dec. 3.
