This exhibit highlights intersectional community organizing of the greater San José area from 1965 to 2005 in response to American imperialism abroad and authoritarianism at home.

In Case You Missed It: The Hearst Awards
This November, the School of Journalism and Mass Communications at San José State will honor award-winning editorial cartoonist Ann Telnaes with the 2025 William Randolph Hearst Award in recognition of her career as a journalist.
Following Thanksgiving, Christmas in the Park opens in downtown San José in the Plaza de César Chávez. This beloved annual tradition brings together the community in a festive, outdoors exhibition of entertainment and decor, free to attend and open to all from 6 to 10 p.m. every day until January 1, 2026. This Fri., Nov. 28, join President Cynthia Teniente-Matson, dignitaries, families and Sammy Spartan to kick off the holiday season with a tree lighting. Sammy will also be at the park on Sat., Nov. 29. SJSU Night will be Dec. 3.
