Emmersion Language Placement Test

What is a Language Placement Test?

This page provides instructions and information for students who wish to take the Emmersion online placement test, which is designed to help you determine the best course for you based on your background. The language tests currently available are Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian, and Spanish. Students with no vision will need to schedule an in-person exam with the faculty. 

  1. Please fill out this form to initiate the process: WLL Check-In Form.
  2. At the end of your test session, you will see your score. Be sure you save a copy of the score page, as you will need it for determine your placement. Use the assessment thresholds below to determine the course you should register for.
