Before we can bridge the achievement gap, and before we can even bridge the opportunity gap, we must bridge the imagination gap.”
– Tom O’Donnell, Incubator Director at UML and SpartUp Incubator Advisor
Spartans represent a diverse demographic where access to support, networks, systems and opportunities for entrepreneurship are limited. The SJSU SpartUp Incubator Program provides a unique experiential environment for Spartan entrepreneurs to learn and practice real-world entrepreneurial skills that position them to succeed as startup founders and principals, employees, and commercializing researchers.
The SpartUp Incubator is a collaborative ecosystem joining SJSU Research & Innovation, University Programs, and Community Organizations. Together we provide a web of support for the Spartan Entrepreneur, our Spartaneur, along the startup journey – from idea, through prototype, to planning and fundraising.
When you join the SpartUp Incubator Program we will help you to understand and practice the founder’s journey:
- How to find and develop ideas
- How to discover and develop customers
- How to build and test prototypes
- How to plan and scale your startup
- How to pitch to investors and raise money
We do this through a series of stages, coupled with real-world connections and mentorship, meaningful grants and cohort scholarships.
Become a member and join us as we kindle the imaginations of our diverse population of Spartaneurs.
