Do you have an excellent idea for a startup but don't know how to make your dream a reality? Join the SpartUp Incubator for a deep dive into ideation, innovation, prototyping, and developing a minimum viable product (MVP). Panelists will share their first-hand experience on how to build great ideas and develop prototypes - to help SJSU entrepreneurs accelerate their startup ideas.
Angel Idusuyi is the co-founder of CreditCliq, a startup whose vision is to scale
productive credit in emerging markets. She won 1st place at the Silicon Valley Business
Plan Competition and 3rd place at the CSU Sunstone Competition. Angel is a proud Spartaneur;
she believes in the mantras "I dream, then I see" and "do hard things".
Mark Szelenyi is a performance-driven product executive with more than 30 years of
experience within the technology industry. Mark was most recently Vice President of
Product Management for ON24, where he spent 15 years leading the effort to understandand
incorporate the needs of ON24 customers into new and existing products. He was responsible
for creating a go-to-market strategy that enabled the company to pivot from being
a managed service provider for a premium market segment toward a SaaS subscription
business model.
Jules Sherman, MFA, is the Director of the Biodesign Program at Children's National
Hospital (CNH). In this role, she teaches innovation and design methods to clinicians,
and co-creates novel medical products in collaboration with doctors and nurses at
CNH. She also teaches at The University of Maryland’s Bioengineering Department, Georgetown
University’s Health Informatics and Data Science graduate program and the Johns Hopkins
Center for Bioengineering Innovation & Design. Prior to working at CNH full-time,
Jules co-taught original curricula with Stanford Children's Hospital physicians focused
on healthcare design (products/services) at The Hasso Plattner Institute of Design
at Stanford University.
Alessandro Chesser is a product leader who drives strategic growth by designing and
building the products that customers want. He has proven experience building and executing
revenue producing enterprise SaaS product strategies and leading cross functional
teams through the entire product lifecycle. He is a highly effective presenter able
to engage with customers, evangelize solutions, and drive outcomes. Alessandro has
a strong technical background in enterprise applications, digital media, collaboration,
and SaaS.
