BACKGROUND:
Andrea Fazel joined the department in 2024. She has taught high school for 22 years,
and currently teaches Government & Economics at Downtown College Prep Charter High
School in San Jose. She earned her BA at University of California, Santa Cruz, her
MA in Education at Stanford University, and her Juris Doctor at King Hall School of
Law, University of California, Davis. In 2016, she was recognized as the Educator
of the Year by Street Law, Inc.
