At SJSU Cares, we welcome opportunities to partner with faculty, staff, and student
organizations to ensure all students are well-informed about the services ready to
support them. Whether you want us to present to your group, table at your event, or
host drop-in hours in your department, we are excited to work with you!
1. Tabling
Include SJSU Cares at your resource fair on campus where we can introduce our services, share flyers and answer basic inquiries on the spot.

Invite SJSU Cares to present to your class, department, or student organization.

General SJSU Cares Overview
Learn about the full range of basic needs resources provided by SJSU Cares, including how to access needed assistance.
Spartan Food Pantry
Discover how the Spartan Food Pantry serves as an on-campus resource for students experiencing food insecurity. This overview offers a peek into the Pantry's operations, eligibility criteria, and registration steps. Learn about the variety of fresh produce, non-perishable food, and personal hygiene items offered, as well as basic guidelines for visiting.
CalFresh Food Assistance
Get an in-depth look at CalFresh Food benefits (California’s SNAP program) and how it helps students access needed nutrition. This topic briefly introduces eligibility rules, clarifies common misconceptions, and outlines the step-by-step application process. Learn how our team provides personalized assistance to help students apply for and maintain monthly grocery benefits.
Off-Campus Housing Search
Navigating the local housing market can be challenging. This presentation shows how SJSU Cares can equip students with practical tools, strategies, and verified resources for finding off-campus housing in the Bay Area. SJSU Cares provides guidance in evaluating neighborhood options, understanding lease agreements, avoiding rental scams, and utilizing SJSU housing search tools.
Case Management Support
Understand how SJSU Cares Case Managers provide one-to-one support for students facing complex situations or basic needs challenges that impact their academic well-being. This presentation offers an overview of our approach to case management, including emergency housing, crisis grants for unforeseen emergencies, and connections to essential campus and community resources
3. Department Drop-In Sessions
We can bring our services directly to your campus space! Request up to 3 hours of a drop-in session where SJSU Cares representatives will be available in your facility to meet with students, answer questions, and provide hands-on assistance with:
- Navigating general SJSU Cares services
- Filling out CalFresh Food application forms
- Guidance on Off-Campus Housing Search resources

Table at the Spartan Food Pantry Courtyard
Reach students directly at the Spartan Food Pantry courtyard! This space is dedicated to sharing vital basic needs information with pantry goers.
Eligibility: Open exclusively to SJSU college offices, Student Affairs departments, and select off-campus basic needs community resources. This is currently unavailable for student clubs or class project groups.
