Lissette Romero
Hello, my name is Lissette and I am part of the Spartan Superway Small-Scale Team
tasked with developing a reliable small-scale switching mechanism and modifying other
parts of the small-scale cabin from previous years.
Asmaa Darwish
Hello, my name is Asmaa and I am responsible for the Bogie Controls of the Small-Scale Team. One of my main tasks is establishing track sensors at specific locations (stations) of the Small-Scale Track to communicate with the bogie on its destinations.
Justin Ghieuw
My name is Justin and I am working on the Small-Scale Track Team tasked with designing
and developing the blueprint for the Guideway. Additionally, Finite Element Analysis
was conducted on intersections of the Guideway to test its rigidity and reliability.
Shane Fatehi
My name is Shane and I am working on the Small-Scale Track Team. My main tasks is
fabricating the Small-Scale Guideway in the most cost effective and efficient way
possible and working with the Small-Scale Bogie Team on its combination and implementation
as a whole system.
Greg White
Hello, my name is Greg and I worked on the Half-Scale Bogie system of the Spartan Superway. My contributions lie in the mechanics of the Half-Scale bogie, aiding in the redesign of the Half-Scale Switch mechanism and collaborating with the electronics team with troubleshooting the Control and Power System to ensure the bogie runs smoothly.
Brandon Scully
Hello my name is Brandon and I am part of the Spartan Superway Half-Scale Team. My main task was to troubleshoot the mechanics of the bogie, redesign the Switching mechanism of the bogie in SolidWorks and conducting extensive Finite Element Analysis to optimize the design of the Switching mechanism for ease of manufacturability. In addition, I was in charge of the CAD documentation of the team.
Keanu Heggem
My name is Keanu and I am part of the Half-Scale Bogie Team. As part of the Electronics/Programming team, I am heavily involved in troubleshooting the codes for the sensors and stepper motors used to move the mechanism. In addition, I was in charge of the documentation of all the codes and wiring schematics of the project.
Edward Lin
Hello my name is Edward and I am part of the Half-Scale Bogie Team tasked with repairing/troubleshooting
the electronics of the Control Box, and designing a cost-effective solution to house
the electronics.
Alex Ng
Hello, my name is Alex and I am part of the Wayside Power Team at the Spartan Superway.
My main responsibility is designing and validating the implementation of a electrified
"third" rail for the purposes of propulsion of the bogie, and be responsible for the
documentation of the whole team.
Melody Bake
Hello my name is Melody and I am part of the Wayside Power Team tasked with the Electrical
Design of project. My main responsibilities include the schematic design for the electronics
of the team and developing the validation tests of the electronics to be integrated
into the system.
Reynaldo Jaja
My name is Reynaldo and as part of the Wayside Power team, I am tasked with the mechanical
design of the conductor shoe system and validating its safety and stress concentrations
in SolidWorks.
Waylon Chan
Hello, my name is Waylon and I am working on the Electrical design of the Wayside
Power team. My main responsibilities include the schematic design for the electronics
of the team and developing the validation tests of the electronics to be integrated
into the system.
Shane Sharp
Hello, my name is Shane and I am responsible for the mechanical design and manufacturing of the Wayside Power team. I am working on the design for the shoe enclosure system which transfers power to a module provided by the power module team to be integrated into the full-scale bogie. Additionally, I am working closely with Alex and the Electrical Design team to successfully fabricate the "third" rail system.
Eric Near
Hello my name is Eric and I am part of the Power Module Team at the Spartan Superway. The goal of the team is to design a supercapacitor and Lithium-ion hybrid battery pack that will be able to transfer power to the bogie to cruise efficiently. My main responsibility is to design a PCB schematic which will properly house the supercapacitors.
Joe Lau
Hello my name is Joe and I worked on the Power Modules Team at the Spartan Superway. My main responsibilities on the team were to graph the estimated power consumption by the bogie to travel at a certain speed, and conduct an extensive thermal Finite Element Analysis on the Power Module housing to ensure it houses the electronics safely.
Steven Goh
Hello my name is Steven and as part of the Power Module team, I was tasked with designing the overall schematic of the Power Module system, modeling the Power Module compartment in SolidWorks and aiding in the Finite Element Analysis of the compartment using SolidWorks Electrical.
Ninebra Babazadeh
Hello, my name is Ninebra and I am part of the Full-Scale (10 meter) Track Team at
the Spartan Superway. My primary tasks for the team are Project Management and Social
Impact Planning for the Track Team. To better implement our ideal design in practicality,
it is important to understand the effects it will have on society.
Neeraj Lal
My name is Neeraj and I am the Mechanical Engineer for the Full Scale (10 meter) track Team. My main tasks are designing the track assembly in SolidWorks and conducting extensive Finite Element Analysis to ensure the Track is safe and reliable before manufacturing it.
Jonathan Legasca
My name is Jonathan and I am the lead Manufacturing Engineer for the Full Scale (10 meter) Track Team at the Spartan Superway. My main tasks are to collaborate with Neeraj on the development and design of the track and be in charge of the fabrication and implementation of the Track.
