Nadine Ann Skinner has over ten years of experience working in international organizations, government agencies, community-based organizations, and philanthropic foundations. Her interdisciplinary research focuses on the relationships between the philanthropic sector, social movements, and nongovernmental organizations with the international education and global health education sectors. Taking a neo-institutional approach, her research focuses on two primary aspects: 1) connections between civil society and higher education and professional education and 2) the formalization of social movements, civil society, and nongovernmental organizations in curricula. Nadine completed her doctoral studies in International Comparative Education at Stanford University. She has an MPA from Cornell University in Social Policy and a BA from the University of California, Santa Cruz in Politics and History.
