Undeclared Student Advising at the Exploratory SSC!

The Exploratory Student Success Center serves undeclared undergraduate students. Our center plays a critical role in providing exploratory/undeclared students with general education academic advising and assisting them with navigating the change of major process. We work closely with other Student Success Centers and the Career Center to connect our students with resources to help them transition into their desired major.

Drop-In Hours

We are offering extended drop-in academic advising from August 19th - September 3rd (Mon - Thurs). Please click here to see the schedule

Wed Aug 19 (virtual)
9:00am - 11:30am & 1:30pm - 3:00pm

Thurs Aug 20 (In person & virtual)
9:00am - 11:30am & 1:30pm - 3:30pm

We operate on a first-come, first-served basis.

Drop-ins are intended for quick questions, and you can meet with any available Exploratory SSC advisor. If your situation requires more in-depth support, please schedule an appointment through Spartan Connect or by emailing your assigned advisor directly.

Academic Advising Appointments

Exploratory students must meet with their assigned Exploratory Student Academic Success Specialist (advisor) each semester. Additionally, an advising hold will be placed on your account every semester.

This hold will prevent you from registering for courses for the upcoming semester.

Please meet with your assigned Exploratory advisor to plan your class schedule for next semester and have your advising hold removed. Please also check your emails and Spartan Connect messages for more information.

*Note: Advising holds will not be removed by attending drop-ins. Students MUST schedule a full appointment.
