Fall 2026 Drop-In Advising 

The Exploratory Student Success Center will offer drop-in advising through the FALL semester. Drop-in advising operates on a first-come, first-served basis.

🗓️ Fall 2026 Drop-In Schedule

Drop-ins Academic Advising will be held from August 19th to September 3rd (Mon-Thurs). Please see the schedule below.

  • Drop-ins Academic Advising is ideal for immediate advising questions, such as adding/dropping courses, academic schedule support, GE advising, SJSU policies & procedures.
  • No appointments need to be scheduled to attend drop-in times below. You will be assisted on a first come first serve basis.
  • In-Person Drop-in Advising:
    • You will check-in to the front desk and fill out this form. The form is only open during our drop-in hours. 
    • Thursday, August 20th
    • Wednesday, August 26th
    • Thursday, August 27th and,
    • Thursday, September 3rd
  • Virtual Drop-In Advising: Please fill out this form AND monitor your email for a Zoom link.
    • Drop-In Advising Check In Form:

*Note: Drop-ins are available only during the dates and times listed above. You will not be able to get your advising hold removed by attending drop-ins.

The Exploratory Student Success Center offers drop-in advising for Exploratory/undeclared students ONLY!

Exploratory students can have their questions addressed without scheduling an appointment. Exploratory students can attend any Exploratory advisor's drop-in slots. Please check our main webpage for any updates.

Drop-in advising sessions are for quick 10-15 minute questions. Students are seen on a first-come, first-serve basis. Topics may include:

  • Adding / Dropping a course
  • Course Schedule
  • Intended Major (Change of Major)
  • SJSU Policies and Procedures

If your situation requires more in-depth support, please schedule an appointment through Spartan Connect or by emailing your assigned advisor directly.

The Exploratory Student Success team only offers drop-in advising hours during the scheduled posted times. Advisors may not be able to accomadate a student outside of their drop-in hours without an appointment. The student will be asked to schedule a future appointment or attend the next posted drop-in hours.

Check-in Process

In-Person Drop-Ins: Check-in at the Undergraduate Advising Hub front desk, located in the Student Services Center (under North Parking Garage). 

Virtual Drop-Ins: Please complete the Google Form above and monitor your email for the Zoom link.
