International Applicants, F-1 Visa

Please read the following information carefully before submitting an application to the MSA

We will be able to accommodate your application for Fall admission:

• If you have an accounting degree from an institution located in the United States and do not need any of the prerequisite courses offered in the summer Certificate in Accounting Fundamentals.
• If you are currently located in the United States, already have an F-1 visa, and need all or some of the prerequisite courses offered in the summer Certificate in Accounting Fundamentals. Under these circumstances we will be able to process your F-1 visa transfer in time for you to enroll in the summer Certificate in Accounting Fundamentals which begins in late May.

Note: If you are offered admission to the MSA, you will not be eligible to enroll in the three-unit  internship course offered in the spring semester unless you are required to complete the Certificate in Accounting Fundamentals in summer. 

Your course selection in the spring semester will be limited to electives or core courses offered on-campus. This policy is in accordance with San José State University guidelines and is not subject to change.
