Former Student Advising

CoS-SSC provides advising for “Former Student Returning (FSR)” and “Recently Disqualified from Major” students.

Am I a “Former Student Returning (FSR)”?

CoS-SSC defines a student as a “Former SJSU Student (FSR)” when they meet one or more of the following criteria:

• Former College of Science students who have not attended SJSU for more than one semester and seek readmission to SJSU as a science major
• Former College of Science students who were disqualified from SJSU and now seeking reinstatement and readmission to SJSU or other CSU campuses

If one or more of these criteria apply to you and wish to request CoS-SSC Advising, complete the Former Student Advising Google Form.

Am I a “Recently Disqualified from Major” student?

CoS-SSC defines a student as “Recently Disqualified from Major” when they meet the following criteria:

• A former College of Science student recently disqualified from their major and now has been assigned an “Undeclared” student status

If one or more of these criteria apply to you and wish to request CoS-SSC Advising, complete the Recently Disqualified Advising Google Form.
