String Project
Fall 2024 — Spring 2025
The String Project provides group violin and cello classes to elementary and middle school students, and provide a hands-on, supervised teaching experience to SJSU Music Education Majors.
El Proyecto de Cuerdas ofrece clases grupales de violín y violonchelo a estudiantes de primaria y secundaria, al mismo tiempo que brinda una experiencia a nuestros estudiantes universitarios de educación musical y a los estudiantes que reciben una enseñanza práctica y supervisada.
In Fall 2024 students will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4pm-5pm in the Music Building at SJSU.
En Otoño 2024 los estudiantes se reunirán los Martes y Jueves de las 4pm a las 5 pm en el edificio de Música en SJSU.
We are charging a small tuition fee on a sliding scale of $100/semester per student. Additionally, there is a modest rental fee of $50 per semester to use the instruments of SJSU.
Estamos cobrando una pequeña cuota de la matrícula y las tarifas son movibles de $100 por semestre para cada estudiante. Adicionalmente hay un pequeño precio de renta de $50 por semestre para el uso del instrumento de SJSU.

The School of Music is committed to further our long-standing practice of active social justice through music-making and engaging our community via the String Project.
