Orientation

Information regarding Fall orientation dates and first day of Fall classes. 

All communications from the School will go through your  Official SJSU Email Account  Once you are admitted to SJSU, you should have an official SJSU ID# as well as an official SJSU email account designated as "@sjsu.edu."

Social Work Orientation:

Program Orientation will be on-campus and in-person using a combination of synchronous sessions and asynchronous material that will be housed in Student Information Resource Center Institution Public (Canvas Course). You already have received information on how to access the course canvas. Please make sure to complete the asynchronous  modules prior to the orientation and continue to check the course canvas for updates.. The Orientation takes place over two days. Please plan on attending both days. 

Following are the dates and times for in person Orientation:

• Saturday, August 17th; 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Sunday, August 18th; 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

First Formal Days of Class

For the On-Campus MSW Program the Fall 2024 semester begins August 19th and the first day of classes is August 21st.

For the Online/Hybrid MSW Program, the Fall 2024 session begins August 19th and the first day of classes is September 3rd.
