Dr. Hojeong Lee is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Film and Theatre at San Jose State University. Her research specializes in digital media culture, transnational media, diaspora, and cultural diversity. Dr. Lee earned her B.A. and M.A. in Korea before pursuing further studies in the United States. She holds a Ph.D. in Media and Communication from the Klein College of Media and Communication at Temple University.
Her scholarly work is featured in numerous peer-reviewed journals, and she has authored
a monograph titled "Korean Digital Diaspora: Transnational Social Movements and Diaspora
Identity." Additionally, Dr. Lee has co-edited two books: "Digital Media, Online Activism,
Social Movements in Korea" and "The Making of a Smart City in Korea: The Quest for
e-Seoul."
