Isabel has worked in education since 2021. As an undergraduate student, she served her fellow peers as a Peer Success Coach for the advising center at Sonoma State. After graduating from Sonoma State University with her bachelors in sociology, she began working with public K-12 schools as an afterschool program specialist. She supported schools by coordinating and overseeing afterschool programs for children and youth while also developing educational and enrichment activities for students. It was through these roles that she developed a deep commitment to support student success and personal development across different educational stages which is what led her to join the H&A Student Success Center.

Isabel has a strong desire to continue making a meaningful impact on students' lives by guiding them toward successful academic and career outcomes. As a first generation college student and daughter of immigrant parents she possesses valuable insight into the challenges students may face as they transition into higher education. Being able to serve students as a resource is something she is extremely grateful for because she recognizes the importance of having a strong support system during one's formative years.

When Isabel is not working she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling to Mexico, her second home. She also enjoys discovering scenic hiking trails and trying all the delicious food the Bay Area has to offer!
