The Welcoming Event supported by SJSU Division of Student Affairs, SJSU Career Center, and participation from BRAVEN is an event that helps engineers at all levels tell their stories in a manner that leads to professional advancement.

Why: To welcome everyone and to see cutting edge engineering manufacturing technologies

Golf (Social and Networking Event)

The events will be in conjuction with the BGS.

What: Welcome to Black Engineer Week
When : 9:00 am to 11:30 am, June 17th
Where: Spartan Golf Complex
Why: To socialize while introducing black professionals to the game of golf

Networking Lunch

BEST science and engineering presentations: A showcase of graduate students and postdocs

Who: Presenters from Stanford, UCSF, and more
What: A showcase of graduate students and postdocs
When : 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, June 18th
Where: Spartan Golf Complex, San Jose, CA
Why: To showcase academic talent and build relationships

Hiking Social

The hiking event provides an informal setting for Black professionals to socialize and broaden their network. The 4 mile hike will take place at The Rancho San Antonio County Park at Cupertino.

Industry Luch and Presentation

The Industry Lunch will take place at different Silicon Valley Company Locations.
