Pakistan Applied Linguistics Education Enhancement Program

The Pakistan Applied Linguistics Education Enhancement Program or PALEEP is a university partnership funded by the US Embassy-Islamabad in conjunction with the San José State University Research Foundation. This contract joined SJSU and AJKU together in a partnership for five-years beginning September 1, 2013. Throughout our 5-year partnership SJSU and AJKU will work together to develop a world-class center for Applied Linguistics. We will do this by highlighting professional development and curriculum enhancement in English language skills. Our mission is to increase AJKU’s curricular and research capacity through collaborative research, faculty exchanges, distance education, resource sharing and pedagogical and research material procurement. San José State University is very excited for this partnership not just in terms of educational research, enhancement and knowledge exchange but also for the lasting friendship we hope to build with our colleagues at The University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
