Based on the iconic and prescient novel by George Orwell, 1984 brings us the story of Winston Smith, a man who gets caught in the powerful mechanisms of the state of Oceania.  In a society where Big Brother is constantly watching, Winston is brought before the Thought Police who mentally and physically coerce him to confess his “Thoughtcrimes”.  Powerful and savage, 1984 takes us into a world of mass surveillance and where freedom of expression can be your downfall.

Orwell himself once said, “I do not believe that the kind of society I describe necessarily will arrive, but I believe that something resembling it could arrive. The moral to be drawn from the dangerous nightmare situation is a simple one: Don’t let it happen. It depends on you.”
