Stephanie Sorenson is a Data Science Manager at Wayfair in Boston, MA. She leads the Notifications Marketing Data Science Team, where she builds machine learning models to drive decision-making across marketing channels including email and push notifications. She partners with groups across Marketing, Ad Tech, and Engineering to develop and deploy models at scale, and to measure their business impact. She enjoys approaching problems from a customer-centric lens, and leveraging data and ML techniques to power complex decision-making systems. Before joining Wayfair, she participated in the Insight Data Science Fellows Program in Boston, MA, and had previously worked as a research assistant for the U.S. Army Natick Soldier Research, Development, and Engineering Center and in labs at Tufts University and Massachusetts General Hospital. She obtained her Ph.D. in Psychology (Cognitive Neuroscience) from Stanford University and her Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science from Dartmouth College.
