Chanel Macabante
UX Researcher Intern
Graduate Student, SJSU's Human Factors and Ergonomics Master's Program
I’m a first generation college graduate and a mother of two little girls. I graduated
from San Jose State University (SJSU) in May, 2019 with a Bachelor’s in Psychology
and a double minor in Applied Computing for Behavioral and Social Sciences (ACBSS),
and Human Systems Integration (HSI). During my undergraduate studies, I conducted
research for SJSU’s Virtual Environments, Cognition, and Training Research (VECTR)
lab, to improve individual and team performance in complex work settings. Following
Fall 2019, I was accepted in SJSU’s Human Factors and Ergonomics Master’s program,
where I study Human Factors with an emphasis and focus on User Experience (UX) and
Interaction Design. I recently finished my internship with IBM as a UX Researcher
and I am currently interning at Linkedin as a UX Researcher. In my downtime, I enjoy
bike riding with my mini humans, trying new and delicious food, kick-boxing, and hanging
out by the water.
