Michelle Takemoto graduated from UC San Diego in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in
both Cognitive Science and Psychology. She completed her PhD through the Joint Doctoral
Program in Public Health at UCSD and SDSU with an emphasis on human behavior. Following
her PhD, Michelle completed a two-year post-doctoral fellowship funded by the American
Heart Association focused on promoting successful aging in the older adult population
through increased preventive health including increasing physical activity and decreasing
sedentary behavior. After her fellowship, Michelle transitioned into a User Experience
research position at ServiceNow, and the goal of her research was creating the ideal
user experience for product documentation to help users find the information they
need efficiently and effectively. Currently, Michelle is the lead researcher for the
Virtual Agent solution where she is aiming to understand how customers use the product
and any pain points with the experience.
