Student-Faculty Partnership

Through the generous contributions of supporters, foundations and alumni the Department of Economics is able to offer the Student-Faculty Partnership (SFP) program. This program matches students with faculty mentors to engage in research or teaching projects.

Scholarships

Through the generous contributions of supporters, foundations and alumni the Department of Economics offers two scholarships: Spartonomics and Austrian Economics Scholarships to economics students. Internships

The Department’s Internship Program provides credit for work in an economics-related field.

Departmental Honors

Students who meet the requirements for Economics Department Honors are recognized by the University with an indication of “Honors” on both the student’s transcript and diploma.

Awards

The Department has three perpetual award plaques to recognize outstanding students and alumni. Faculty members nominate and select the award recipients: James F. Willis Award for Excellence in Economics, Rodolfo Gonzalez Award for Outstanding Alumni, and the David S. Saurman Most Valuable Player in the Department. Find out more about our Honors and Awards.
