The M.S. in Software Engineering, specialization in Cloud and Mobile Computing program will help you master the analysis, evaluation and implementation of Cloud and Mobile Computing principles as well as the appreciation of mobile platform development. Through the program’s advanced hands-on training approach you will develop skills in design, development, communication, management, information security and usability. You will be asked to investigate the differences between desktop and mobile computing, and dissect mobile apps and tool suites; learning about cutting-edge mobile software, frameworks, libraries and integrated environments.

- Master Practical Skills
This program prepares students to master software development technologies in Cloud and Mobile Computing platforms. Students will provide applications and services to end users and use the latest software engineering processes where large-scale application design is pre-eminent, and system integration is the standard mode of development.

The curriculum is developed and co-taught jointly by SJSU faculty members and industry experts of prominent Silicon Valley companies such as Uber, Google, Tesla, Cisco, KLA-Tencor, Salesforce, and more.

Applying to the Program
Prospective students interested in the program are encouraged to complete a prequalification form so that a faculty advisor can review the student’s background and determine their suitability for the program.
The Minimum Requirement:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering/ Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
- A 3.0 or above GPA based on the last 60 technical semester units, 90 technical units from the previous quarter, or all degree units.
- TOEFL if required.
- GPA 3.0 or better
- Conditional admissions may be granted for applicants with an exceptional background and GPA less than 3.0 but greater than 2.5.
- NO GRE/GMAT Scores required.
- Experience in related industry preferred.
