Spartan Safe App

Spartan Safe is the official safety app of San José State University, integrating the campus’ safety and security systems into an accessible and easy-to-use app. The Emergency Management department under the UPD has worked to develop a unique app that provides students, faculty and staff with added safety on the campus, with features including:

• Police/Fire/EMS: Contact the relevant services for all emergency and non-emergency safety concerns at SJSU.
• Mobile Bluelight: This feature sends your location to UPD in real-time in case of a crisis and connects you with emergency dispatch.
• King Library Security: Report criminal activity or safety concerns happening at the King Library.
• Friend Walk: Send your live location to a friend to monitor your safety until you reach your destination.
• Report a Tip: Suspicious activity, prior criminal activity or any safety concerns.
• Safety Escort/Safe Ride Program: Easy access to request to be accompanied by a police officer or shuttled to a destination within a designated radius around campus.
• Parking Information: Access parking information, see parking garage capacities, and access transportation solutions.
• Resources and Information: Access various resources for emergency response, preparedness, and support.
