Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) Training
Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D) Systems is a training program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for women. This is a comprehensive, women-only course that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and risk avoidance, and progresses to basic, hands-on defense training.
R.A.D. is not a martial arts program. The course is taught by UPD's nationally certified R.A.D. instructors. They provide each student with a workbook/reference manual. This manual outlines the entire Physical Defense Program for reference and continuous personal growth, and is the key to our free lifetime return and practice policy for R.A.D. graduates.
The R.A.D. class is only one day, with the culmination of a "hands on" controlled scenario simulation. This empowering 9 hour course is designed to allow for participants to apply awareness and prevention skills along with self defense tactics.
R.A.D. classes are designed for women. Each class is 9 hours from 8 AM to 5 PM.
