Requesting an Equivalency Petition

To request an equivalency petition for a College of Science course, please complete a College of Science Equivalency Petition Request form.

Equivalency petitions are for students seeking evaluation of course equivalency for courses offered in the following College of Science departments:

Biological Sciences
Chemistry
Computer Science
Geology
Mathematics and Statistics
Meteorology and Climate Science
Physics and Astronomy

After you request the equivalency petition, it will be emailed to the SJSU email provided on the request form. Students must use SJSU credentials to access the forms.

It will take 4-6 weeks to process equivalency form petitions after the equivalency form and supporting documentation have been received.
