Technology

Taking online classes requires some basic equipment needs (wifi, computer) and learning to use common apps (like video conferencing, online discussion boards, learning management systems). Get the basics and help with this part of online learning using the links below. You can also download software you may need for certain classes.

Wifi and Cell Phone Resources

If you or someone in your household is low-income, you may be eligible for a free cell phone with unlimited minutes, text and wifi-access. Free Wi-Fi access is available on campus in various locations, and in the South Campus Park and Ride lot (located at S. 7th Street between Humboldt and Alma Streets).

Study Resources

SJSU provides on-campus study spaces for students, to the extent that state and county public health orders allow. Visit the Health Advisories website for the latest updates. If you live with family or roommates, you may need to work out a schedule for sharing limited space, or find a place to study outside or at another location.
