How to access hardware at San Jose State University

This guide will provide you the details about the computer equipment and hardware access from IT at SJSU.

You can book an equipment from IMS Equipment Loaning Services. Check this link to book a variety of equipment. https://sjsuequipment.getconnect2.com/

Below are the steps to book an equipment via Connect2

1. Sign in to your account using your SJSU ID.

2. Click on “Book Equipment”.

3. Check the list of equipment, select the required equipment, and add to basket.

4. Select the booking time and fill the booking details as per your requirement. 

5. Confirm booking.

    SJSU IT IMS Current COVID19 Equipment Loaning Open Hours:

    Temporary hours: Starting 3/20/20

    Monday – Thursday: 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM

    Friday: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM

    1. All equipment checkout will be by appointments only.
    2. Laptop checkouts will be conducted outside of the Connect2 Booking System. Laptops are still available for immediate in-person checkout at IRC 112 for all Faculty & Staff & (temporarily Students). All other equipment will still be available for checkout through Connect2 until further notice.
    3. STAFF FACULTY checkouts will continue for items essential for distance learning on a first come first served basis: laptops & chargers, webcams (limited qty), document cameras(limited qty), USB microphones (limited qty).
    4. STUDENTS due to the emergency situation, temporary changes have been made to the standard 2-day booking rule allowing for longer checkouts for all equipment essential for distance learning on a first-come-first-served basis.
    5. RETURNS will be due back the day after on-campus classes resume. If you are unavailable you may have someone return the equipment for you.
