• Accessible Education Center (AEC)

  • The Accessible Education Center, through collaboration with the campus and community, is committed to redefining ability for students with disabilities by providing comprehensive services in support of the educational development and success of students with disabilities in a student-centered and professional environment.

• Career Center

  • The Career Center enables students to explore majors and careers, gain relevant experience and professional confidence, search for meaningful work and connect with exciting employers. All students are eligible to receive services from the Career Center from resume writing to interviewing skills. The Career Center’s vision is that every Spartan emerges career ready and equipped for lifelong career success.

• Peer Connections

  • Peer Connections supports students through tutoring, mentoring, supplemental instructions, learning assistants and student success events in an inclusive, welcoming environment. It serves as a university-wide resource for the promotion of peer learning and retention.

• Writing Center

  • The San José State University Writing Center offers a variety of resources to help students become better writers, and all of our services are free for SJSU students. It's difficult enough being a college student, so why let a writing assignment add to your stress? We'll be your guides through the often bewildering world of words, and you'll emerge with the communication skills necessary to your success as a student.

• Educational Opportunity Program (EOP)

  • The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) strives to retain and ensure timely graduation for first-generation, historically low-income, and educationally underserved college students. At SJSU EOP, we are committed to establishing a positive college experience for every student. We are dedicated to increasing access and academic excellence by offering intentional support services and multifaceted community engagement.

  • Current SJSU Graduate students are encouraged to use the Graduate Programs website for more information regarding their specific Graduate programs along with their respective faculty advisors.

• International Student and Scholar Services

  • International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) centralizes immigration advising resources and co-curricular support programming for international students and scholars on campus, with the goal of contributing to their success during their tenure at SJSU and beyond.

Creating Connections

• Center for Asian Pacific Islander Student Empowerment

  • The Center for Asian Pacific Islander Student Empowerment offers programming and services to support the academic and personal goals of our diverse API community while fostering a sense of belonging. Programming and services focus on student success and promoting the retention and persistence of our students from recruitment to graduation.

• Black Leadership and Opportunity Center

  • The Black Leadership and Opportunity Center (BLOC) serves to holistically empower, uplift, and develop all students in the African Diaspora through strengthening and building community bonds, encouraging positive Black identity, and providing social and academic support.

• Campus Life

  • A student's time at San Jose State is about discovery, both inside and outside the classroom. Through shared experiences with peers, service to the community, and acts of creation, recreation and cohabitation, discover who you want to be. Even though most classes are offered online and the in-person campus events will be limited, there is a range of virtual opportunities for you to participate and create connections.

• Campus Reading Program

  • SJSU’s Campus Reading Program fosters a culture of reading that helps orient first-time freshmen to college life while engaging all community members in campus-wide discussion and reflection on important issues of our time. Each year, a committee chooses one book that is given to all first-time freshmen during summer orientation. Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to read the book during the summer and to participate in discussion groups and other activities about the book’s themes during the year.

    The Campus Reading Program offers a wonderful opportunity to build connections with students, faculty, and staff across campus. If you are a first-year student starting classes in the fall, the Campus Reading Program will provide you with a common learning experience that will deepen your understanding of important issues while building lifelong friendships. If you are a faculty or staff member, you can participate in the committee that selects each year’s book and develop curricular and co-curricular opportunities for any group on campus.

• César E. Chávez Community Action Center

  • The César E. Chávez Community Action Center (CCCAC) helps to connect SJSU students with civic engagement opportunities that deepen the educational experience while promoting the lifelong commitment to civic engagement/activism. Students gain skills like leadership, critical thinking, public speaking and sense of belonging. 

• Chicanx Latinx Student Success Center

  • The Chicanx/Latinx Student Success Center (CLSSC, also known as Centro) at San Jose State University understands and responds to Latinx students' unique needs through campus community advocacy and student empowerment.

• Gender Equity Center

  • The Gender Equity Center is to advocate for social justice, respect, and safety for all members of the San Jose State University. GenEC provides dynamic programming and educations outreach opportunities through collaborative partnerships with other campus and community organizations.

• International Student and Scholar Services

  • International Student and Scholar Services centralizes immigration advising resources and co-curricular support programming for international students and scholars on campus.

• Mosaic Cross Cultural Center

  • The Mosaic Cross Cultural Center (MOSAIC) provides programs to achieve social justice by promoting and fostering understanding, interaction, and communication in an inclusive environment amongst the students of SJSU. There programs focuses on isssues of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, socioeconomic status, etc.

• PRIDE Center

  • The PRIDE Center is to support the LGBTQ+ students of San Jose State University.The goals of the PRIDE center is to improve the campus climate for LGBTQ+ students and advocate for the respect and safety of all members of the campus community.

  • SJSU's Spartan Speaker Series program has aimed to present a broad range of timely content and diverse voices including distinguished authors, critics, artists, scientists and more. 

• UndocuSpartan Resource Student Center (USRC)

  • The UndocuSpartan Student Resource Center (USRC) is invested in creating educational opportunities that will further the success of UndocuSpartans at SJSU. The USRC uses a cross-cultural and social justice lens to provide holistic support and resources to undocumented students and the campus community.

• Veterans Resource Center

  • The Veterans Resources Center is dedicated to assists veterans, reservists, national guard, active duty and dependents with state/federal education benefits and certification, campus resources, and intentional student programs that aid in the transition from military to education to career.

Financial Resources

• Financial Aid & Scholarship Office

  • The Financial Aid and Scholarship Office provides quality educational financing options, while delivering consistent, equitable, and timely services to student aid applicants at San José State University. In addition to federal and state funding, the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office connects students with campus scholarship opportunities and other off campus resources.

• SJSU Cares

  • SJSU Cares assists students who are facing an unforeseen economic crisis by providing direct support and referrals around basic needs including food, housing, emergency assistance and more. We want to ensure that you reach your academic goals towards graduation.

  • The COVID-19 Health Advisories provides the latest information and updates about the novel COVID-19 virus. They provide information on how to report case of COVID-19 and information on identifying the symptoms.
